Gippsland Line Upgrade Project

VicConnect Alliance was engaged to design and construct upgrades to the Gippsland railway line, primarily between Pakenham and Traralgon, as part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Rail Revival Project. The Gippsland Line Upgrade delivers more frequent and reliable train services to the growing communities of Gippsland. Project scope includes second platforms and station amenity improvements at Bunyip, Longwarry, Morwell and Traralgon stations, track duplication at Bunyip and Longwarry, extension of the Morwell crossing loop, level crossing upgrades, signalling upgrades and drainage structure upgrades along the line.

RCSG was engaged by VicConnect Alliance to design the upgraded signalling system in two of the geographic areas where WESTRACE Mk I CBI Interlockings and Object Controllers are replaced with ElectroLogIXS. RCSG is providing specialist signalling expertise across design and testing functions to deliver the client’s technical solution to the required high standard.
